Amazon is coming to Hampton Roads.

Governor Ralph Northam made the announcement at Old Dominion University on Tuesday. He said the company will build two new facilities in Suffolk and Chesapeake.

The Suffolk location will house a multi-story robotics center with over a thousand workers. The Chesapeake location features a 650-thousand square-foot processing center with about 500 employees. There are other Amazon centers in Sterling, Ashland, Petersburg and Richmond. The new headquarters is in the Crystal City region of Northern Virginia.
