Man seriously injured during shooting inside Norfolk McDonald’s

A man was shot inside a Norfolk McDonald’s Saturday night after getting into an argument.

Police say the victim and another man were arguing inside the McDonald’s, at 745 Newtown Road, when the shot was fired. The suspected shooter, who is described as a black man wearing a black shirt and brown pants, fled the restaurant before police arrived, according to a Norfolk news release.

Police found a man in his twenties inside the restaurant around 11:30 p.m. suffering serious injuries from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
