Virginia Beach students have a chance to explore their interests and plan their futures during College Information Night, a free event Tuesday featuring more than 170 colleges, universities, vocational schools and the military.
Sponsored by the Virginia Beach City Public Schools’ Office of Student Support Services, the evening will offer opportunities for students and parents to learn about financial aid, programs of study, admission requirements and student life. The event will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St.
According to Coordinator Robert Jamison, college night is a time to ask important questions and explore college and employment options.
“More and more students believe they can attend college, and have been asking for more opportunities that allow them to become more marketable,” he said. “This year, we’ve provided a more diverse group of schools to let students know they have an array of postsecondary options.”
