An instrument petting zoo, original music about bees, dancers and face-painting — it’s Symphonicity’s 17th Annual Lollipop Concert.

Activities begin at 2 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Sandler Center.

“The Lost Bee,” an original concert designed to introduce children from kindergarten to sixth grade to live orchestral concerts, begins at 3. It will last about 50 minutes.

Dancers from Ballet Virginia International and the Suzuki violinists of Hampton Roads will perform alongside Symphonicity, led by conductor David Kunkel.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door. They can be purchased at the Sandler Center box office in advance or the day of the concert.
