New Year’s revelers can extend their fun Saturday with the 30th Annual Twelfth Night Celebration at the Francis Land House in Virginia Beach.
The event marks the end of the Christmas season (the actual Twelfth Night is Jan. 5; this celebration is being held early so it can be on a Saturday). It will be hosted by “Mr. and Mrs. Land,” with music from the Itinerant Band, traditional Twelfth Night cake and a menu featuring 18th-century inspired food. The evening will also include a variety of historical entertainment in the parlor, including the tossing of greens on the bonfire, which means good luck in the New Year.
Tickets are $12 and must be purchased in advance at the Francis Land House, 3131 Virginia Beach Blvd. The event is 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
