Pre-Christmas sing-along takes the stage at the Sandler Center

A free concert two days before Christmas will invite the audience to sing along to Handel’s “Messiah” with Symphonicity, the symphony orchestra of Virginia Beach.

The 33rd Annual “Messiah” Sing Along will run from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sandler Center.

Audience members will sing the choruses from the Christmas portion of the concertSoloists for the show are Kimberly Nickerson, Bonnie-Lambert Baxter, Anthony Marcano and Adam Piper. The orchestra will be led by Musical Director and Conductor David Kunkel.

Participants are invited to bring their own score or purchase one for $10 in the lobby. Those who have the sheet music will sit on the first floor, with observers seated in the mezzanine or balcony areas.

The show is partially funded through the A.H. Grandy Fund of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.
