Virginia Beach Mustangs Jr. Midgets, Pee Wees, and Jr. Pee Wees advance to Pop Warner Super Bowl

The Virginia Beach Mustangs’ Jr. Midgets, Pee Wees and Jr. Pee Wees all won their semifinal matchups on Wednesday in the Pop Warner Super Bowl tournament at Disney World and will advance to their respective national championship games on Saturday. Each Super Bowl game will be streamed live on ESPN3.

In the afternoon match, the Jr. Midgets rolled by Colorado’s Ft. Collins Outlaws 46-24 to set up a championship date with Florida’s Gwen Cherry Bulls at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Pee Wees beat California’s East Bay Wildcats 8-6 and will face Florida’s Gwen Cherry Bulls at 3 p.m.

Earlier Wednesday morning, the Mustangs Jr. Pee Wees continued their run of dominance with a second consecutive shutout victory — 26-0 — in the semifinal match against Hawaii’s Waianae Tigers. They will face Florida’s Forestview Steelers at 1 p.m..
