Swimming: Ocean Lakes boys and girls defeat Landstown

The Ocean Lakes boys and girls swim team defeated Landstown in their first meet of the season Friday at the Princess Anne Rec Center.

The Dolphin girls won 215-85.

Ocean Lakes had two double winners.  Senior Megan Motter swam a state-qualifying time of 2:24.96 in the 200 Individual Medley, along with a 1:07.67 time in the 100 Fly. Senior Renee Spillane won the 200 Free (2:27.19) and the 100 Free (1:07.13) . Both Motter and Spillane also swam on the winning 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay.

The Dolphin boys edged the Eagles 158.8 to 146.5

Senior Josh Panganiban (26.13 in the 50 Free and 59.34 in the 100 Free) and junior Jerra Ewing (2:19.72 in the 200 Individual Medley and 1:08.12 in the 100 Breast) were both double winners for the Dolphins. They also swam on the winning 200 Medley and 200 Free relay teams.

Landstown’s Eric Zank won both the 200 Free (2:10.29) and 400 Free (4:34.86). He also swam on the winning 400 Free relay team.
