All three Virginia Beach Pop Warner teams advance to Super Bowl semifinals

The Virginia Beach Mustangs’ Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee and Jr. Midget teams were all victorious in Sunday’s first round of the Pop Warner Super Bowl tournament, advancing to the semifinals on Wednesday.

The Jr. Midgets beat the Northwest Raiders 31-0, and will play Colorado’s Ft. Collins Outlaws. The Pee Wees edged the Hartford Hurricanes 8-6 to set up a date with California’s East Bay Wildcats, and the Jr. Pee Wee quad shutout the West Haven Seahawks 27-0. They will play Hawaii’s Waianae Tigers next.

Wednesday’s winners will earn a spot in their respective Division 1 Super Bowl on Saturday, all of which will be streamed on ESPN3.
