Men’s Basketball

Chris Clarke (Cape Henry Collegiate), Virginia Tech: The freshman guard/forward has made an early impact, starting in six of seven games while averaging 11.4 points, third most on the team. Clark is also hauling in a team second-best 8.9 rebounds per game.

Devon Hall (Cape Henry Collegiate), University of Virginia: As the Cavaliers’ lead guy off the bench (18.4 minutes per game), the red-shirt sophomore guard has registered a respectable 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in seven appearances.

Trey Freeman (Kellam), Old Dominion University: The second-year starting guard is averaging a team-high 16.6 points per game through seven contests. The senior also has 4.3 rebounds and a team-leading 2.4 assists per game.

Tyler Peterson (Tallwood), Virginia State University: As a first year starter, the sophomore guard has posted a team-leading 3.5 assists per game while averaging 6.5 points and 2.5 rebounds over six contests.

Women’s Basketball

Brehanna Daniels (Salem), Norfolk State University: The steady senior guard has started in three of five games and averaged five points and 3.2 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.
