This is your look at what ramp and interstate closures to avoid in Virginia Beach for the third week of November. The information is provided by the Virginia Department of Transportation:
The I-264 East and I-264 West on-ramps to I-64 East will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday to Wednesday so crews can trim trees. VDOT says motorists should anticipate minor delays. There will be signs for the detour, which VDOT described as follows: Traffic will be redirected to Military Highway (Exit 13A), then loop back onto I-264 East to I-64 West (Exit 14B) looping back to I-264 West (Exit 284A) then to I-64 East (Exit 14A) to complete the detour.
Also, the I-64 West off-ramp to southbound Northampton Boulevard will close from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Southbound Northampton Boulevard will be closed at the I-64 overpass for bridge work. There will be detours. The on-ramps to I-64 East and West will remain open, as will northbound Northampton Boulevard.
