Kellam High receives Virginia Athletic Council Sportsmanship Award

Kellam High School received the “Best High School Sportsmanship Award” for the 2014-15 school year last week at the second annual Virginia Athletic Council scholarship and benefit gala.

Kellam High Student Activities Coordinator Jim Moxey was on hand to receive the award.  He commented on the recognition via email:

“It was a special honor to accept the recognition on behalf of everyone here. Good Sportsmanship across the board is a high priority at Kellam. Based on what they told us, they received input from most of the officials organizations and others in the communities around here to help in making the decision. The banner will be displayed in our gym with pride at some time soon we hope.”
