Jeb Bush to make presidential campaign stop at Regent University

Presidential hopeful Jeb Bush will visit Virginia Beach next week.

The Republican accepted an invitation to stump and participate in a question-and-answer session Oct. 23 at Regent University’s Performing Arts Center. The event begins at 3 p.m.

The university has offered the same stage to all presidential candidates in the hope of creating a series, according to the university. The former Florida governor is the first to accept.

The announcement came less than two weeks after one of Bush’s main rivals for the GOP nomination, Donald Trump, was forced to cancel a Virginia Beach appearance because of Hurricane Joaquin.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for military and seniors.

For more information call the art center’s box office at (757) 352-4245 or visit regent.edu/events/els/presidential-candidate-forum.cfm.
