Virginia Beach businesses can learn how to save money and help the environment later this month at a free workshop hosted by the city.
The seminar on energy efficiency begins at 2 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library. Businesses can have a year’s worth of their power bills analyzed during the workshop to discover ways to save.
Mayor Will Sessoms is also asking citizens to take the “Energy Star Pledge” to reduce power usage in their homes. October is Energy Awareness Month.
“By working together as a community, we can all help reduce our energy costs, lower greenhouse gas emissions and make a real difference in our sustainability efforts,” Sessoms said in a release to media.
