Emotional Freedom Techniques Workshop for Parents of Children with Special Needs: Emotional Control at Your Fingertips

Raising children is hard. Raising children with special needs is even harder.

The unique challenges of understanding, communicating with, disciplining, and nurturing your child--combined with the additional needs to advocate and find additional resources (financial, opportunity, awareness, health, therapies) for them and their “outside of the norm” needs—compound the typical stresses of parenting.

  • Do you often feel overwhelmed to the point of getting stressed out or stuck in “freeze mode,” unable to take action at home or work?

What is EFT?

The EFT (also known as “tapping”) techniques are a series of astoundingly fast and easy processes using acupressure points that alter the activity centers in the brain to calm the fight-or-flight/stress response system of the brain. It can help just about anyone to achieve genuine freedom from the emotions that have created problems in their lives. EFT works where traditional methods have failed. It has been described as a “breakthrough technique” in the area of psychology for this century and has been used successfully with thousands of people across the globe for a broad range of minor and extreme physical and emotional challenges.

With the simple yet powerful techniques you’ll learn in this 90-minute workshop, you can:

  • Ø  Reduce your stress and overwhelm
  • Ø  Improve your confidence, assertiveness and decision-making
  • Ø  Be more focused and easy-going at work and at home
  • Ø  Eliminate harmful, self-destructive habits (over eating, over drinking, etc.)
  • Ø  Release anger, hurt, depression, guilt, fear, and other negative emotions

This educational, interactive, and experiential presentation will teach you the basics of EFT and how/when to use it to help you calm your thoughts and emotions whenever you need to—often in just a couple of minutes. You can even learn to use it with your kids! You’ll walk away with instructional handouts and the ability to use these techniques on your own.
