Daniel “Danny” Presnell, 52, passed away peacefully Monday, March 2, 2020, from a heart attack.
Danny, as he was affectionately known, was born March 23, 1967, to Thomas and Sandra Presnell. Danny was a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach and attended Kellum High School until 1985.
Danny loved animals and helped rescue dogs from shelters and place them in new homes. He worked at Lillian Vernon/Time Warner in the phone center for a number of years. Danny loved science fiction and was an avid comic book fan.
He attended several Comic-cons and loved all things Disney. The thing that he liked the most was wrestling, and he was a big fan of WWE and VCW. He enjoyed meeting the old-school wrestlers, taking pictures and watching pay-per-view events at watch parties. Danny enjoyed a good lunch special and was often described as a “favorite customer.” Those who knew Danny would say he had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off his back. His dry, yet, witty, sense of humor could bring a smile to anyone. Danny will always be remembered as a loving son, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sandra Presnell; sister, Donna Nunneley, and her husband, Tim Nunneley; niece, Skylar Nunneley; uncle, Richard Ammons, and aunt, Marcia Ammons, and their children, Brad Ammons, and his wife, Melanie, and their children and Lauren Heilder, and her husband, Chris, and their children, all from Georgia; cousin, Timmy Jarrell, and his wife, Elke; two childhood best friends, John Carswell of Kempner Texas and Jeff Moffett of Arlington, Virginia; as well as a special friend, Finola Johnson, and daughter, Sophie, who live in Australia.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 13, at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations.
