Sherrie Lynn Parrish Castilloux, 64, peacefully passed on to heaven Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Virginia Beach.
She was born on July 26, 1955, to the late Marvin C. Parrish and her wonderful mom, Edna B. Parrish. Along with her dad, she is being welcomed with open arms by her best friend and brother, William C. “Buddy” Parrish; loving sister, Darlene P. Sullivan; and nephew, Toby C. Sullivan.
Left to cherish her memory are her three beauties, her daughters, Cara Dawn Castilloux-Bunting, with husband, Rick Bunting, Tia Lynn and Ali Brooke; as well as the true love and light of her life, her little star, granddaughter, Hadley Emersyn Brooke Bridges. She is also survived by her brother, Marvin D. “Marty” Parrish, with wife, Bernadette; sister, Debbie J. Parrish; and sister-in-law, Sandra Graham. She had aunts, uncles and cousins from Kentucky and elsewhere who were always in her heart, as well as a number of lifelong friends who were equivalent to family.
Sherrie will forever be remembered as a celestial-loving Leo who enjoyed jammin’ out to her NOW C.D.s and telling everyone about it on Facebook. Her local thrift store and Hardee’s will undoubtedly miss her weekly business. And her absence will be felt at all of the Bayside High School Alumni reunions.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones at noon, Friday, March 6, for visitation, with a service to follow at 1 p.m., at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 5033 Rouse Drive Virginia Beach. The family requests casual dress, as Sherrie always preferred to be comfortable and never felt inclined to impress anyone.
