Marjorie Louise Pauley, 97, passed away peacefully at home Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. A native of Sharples, West Virginia, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents; both of her siblings; and, grandson, Bubba.
Marge had a variety of jobs, hobbies and interests throughout her life. She was a believer in Jesus Christ, a loving wife and mother, a good cook, and a baker of all things chocolate. She was the administrator at London House, a home for ambulatory seniors, where she was devoted to the care of each resident for years. She enjoyed playing cards and games, puzzles, ceramics, telling stories, knitting, embroidery, card making and stamping, and sitting on the back porch watching the birds as the sun set. She even started to agree that a cat could be almost as good a pet as a dog.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jim, and his wife, Patty, and Doug, and his wife, Carol; granddaughters, Donna Pauley, Debbie Keel, and her husband, Brian, and Stacey Lewis, and her husband, Dave; granddaughter-in-law, Christie Pauley; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Pauley and Daylon Williamson, Trey Hewitt, Chelsi Pauley, Reagan Keel, Lincoln Keel, Karissa Lewis and Eliana Lewis; and great-great-grandchildren, Bradley Hewitt and Daioni Williamson.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
