Victor Veranga, 88, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2019.
Born in the Philippines, he was the son of the late Felisberto Veranga and Maria Tan Veranga. He was a retired master electrician.
In additional to his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his brother, Felix Veranga.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 61 years, Ligaya Veranga; three daughters, Cecile Reyes (Rod) of Ontario, Canada, Maria Vega (Ricardo) of Easton, Pennsylvania, and Maria Lilyvic Veranga of Virginia Beach; three sons, Rizaldy Veranga (Susan) of Bridgewater, New Jersey, Romonchito Veranga (Annie) of Norfolk and Redentor “Red” Veranga of Virginia Beach; brother, Steve Veranga (Carmen) of Norfolk; sister-in-law, Nita Veranga of Virginia Beach; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel. An additional visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
