Cecilio Simeon Pulgar, 81, of Virginia Beach, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019.
Cecilio was born Feb. 1, 1938, in Isabela, Philippines, and lived there as a boy before moving to San Jose, Mindoro, Philippines, and later, Makati City, until he immigrated to the United States in 1999. He became a U.S. citizen in 2005 and resided in Virginia Beach.
Cecilio was a lifelong hard worker at 81 years old. He had previous work in business in the Philippines and was later employed at London Bridge Trading in Virginia Beach.
He met the love of his life and married Paraluman De Guzman in 1959 and was happily married until her death in 1996.
Cecilio is survived by his immediate family, Aurora and Romeo Ruiz, Aliw and Albert Paulino, Armi and Jojo Gonzales, Agnes and Edgar David, Arnel Pulgar; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a public viewing from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 1485 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, with a wake service will be at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m, Friday, Nov. 8, at the funeral home.
