Fay Harrell Turner, 94, of Virginia Beach, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019.
She was born Dec. 8, 1924, in Eure, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Harrell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Paul E. Turner.
She is survived by her daughters, Fay (James) Mauldin and Patsy (Carl) Morrison; son, David Turner; granddaughters, Heather (Daniel) Waldrop and Diane (Nick) Springer; grandson, James M. Mauldin III; great-grandchildren Kaylyn, Wesley, Abigail, Claire and Noelle and friends.
Fay graduated from Moyock High School as salutatorian of her class. She was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church as well as a member of the Virginia Order of the Eastern Star. Golf and travel were two activities she enjoyed as well as spending time with her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, with services following the visitation.
