Linda Ann “Lind-Ann” Thomas, 67, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. She was born March 3, 1952, in Norfolk. Her mother affectionately would call her “Three,” because she was the third child, born in the third month and on the third day.
Linda loved playing softball as a child. She was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and attended Union Kempsville High School. From an early age, she loved the Lord and would often attend the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall.
Linda was employed at ALSCO as a Textile Tech. After she retired, you could always catch her at one of her second homes, Walmart and Cosco. She was a giver. She took good care of her family and the community. She loved cheering for her Dallas Cowboys and playing with her dog, Rocky.
Linda was preceded in death by her three sisters, Judy Johnson, Phyllis Hill and Evelyn Griffin; and one brother, Maurice Boyd.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life for 35 years, her husband, Calvin Thomas; three children, Stacey Copeland (Mynita), Lakesha Copeland and Unterrell Thomas; eight grandchildren, Imani, Diamond (Marquis), Lino, D.J., Mya, Kerri and Tiana; three great-grandchildren, Braden, Kaleb and Liam; mother, Evelyn Hill; four siblings, Barbara Billups, Nadine Boyd, Cathy Jones (Andrew) and Cheryl Hill; one goddaughter, Shawna Edwards; three special friends, Carolyn Acoo, Renee Wilson and Lois Green; three sister-in-laws, Cassandra Brown, Cynthia Watford and Charlene Abraham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
