Sarai Roman, 66, lived a life full of travel, family and friends

Mrs. Sarai Roman, 66, of Virginia Beach, passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Born March 6, 1953, in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Felix Maldonado and Carmen Ortiz.

Sarai was preceded in death by her late parents, Felix and Carmen Maldonado.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, George Luis Roman; eight children, Soraida Maldonado, Efrain Maldonado, Lorraine Maldonado, Moises Roman, George Roman, Leticia Seminario, Samuel Roman and Daniel Roman; beautiful sister, Evelyn Tapia; and 20 grandchildren.

Sarai lived a life full of traveling and entertaining friends and family. She loved life and lived to the fullest. Her house was always open to friends and family. She was a giving person who always had her husband’s side. She will be deeply missed. We will one day see her again, as she now no longer suffers. Enter into the kingdom of heaven, mother. We love you.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 30, at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
