Kimberly A. “Kim” Ross, 53, passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 24, 2019. She was a longtime resident of Virginia, most recently in the Oceanfront community of Virginia Beach.
Kim was born in Stamford, Connecticut, to Gertrude Leone-Schneider and the late Richard J. Leone.
Throughout Kim’s life, she dedicated herself to helping others and was passionate about many things. Kim was a talented artist with many accolades throughout her career. From her paintings to her interior design work, Kim always stood out from the rest, without even trying. As much as she enjoyed creating beauty for all to admire, her greatest creations were her two beautiful daughters, Olivia and Maria. Most importantly, Kim’s sole purpose was to love and guide her children to live happy and peaceful lives. It was her greatest accomplishment.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Richard J. Leone.
Kim is survived by her husband, Robert D. Ross of Virginia Beach; loving daughters, Olivia K. Behling and Maria C. Behling, both of Virginia Beach; stepson, Joshua Ross, and his wife, Courtney, of Virginia Beach; sister, Tracy Ritter, and her husband, Scott, of Monroe, Connecticut; and her adoring niece, Shelby Leone-Garofalo of Monroe, Connecticut. Additionally, Kim is survived by her mother, Gertrude Leone Schneider; and stepfather, Albert Schneider of Oxford, New York.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, July 30, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave., Virginia Beach. Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home.
