Lucille Lee McIntosh, 86, born Sept. 22, 1932, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019.
Lucille lived much of her youth in Norfolk, but the rest of her life in Virginia Beach. Lucille was the daughter of the late Lt. Cmdr. Charles Lee and Ida Lee.
She is survived by her loving husband, William; four daughters, Lee Ann McIntosh, Lisa McIntosh-Herbert, and her husband, John, Leslie McIntosh-Bullerjahn, and her husband, Harold, and Lori McIntosh-Goddard, and her husband, Nigel; four grandchildren, Paul, Michael, and his wife, Sara, Katherine, and her husband, James, and Nora, and her husband, Tavis; as well as six great-grandchildren, Sophie, Isaac, Penny, Harper, Isabel and Yvy.
Lucille was a graduate of Norview High School 1948 and De Paul School of Nursing 1952. Lucie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As a registered nurse, she always looked after everyone’s ailments. She was a gourmet cook and really enjoyed entertaining.
She worked for several years as a school nurse at Rosemont Elementary School. She loved flowers and was a passionate gardener and member of the Baycliff-Alanton Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling around the states and the world with her husband, Bill, but she especially loved going to Nags Head in the summer with her family.
Bill is forever grateful for the 64 wonderful years they had together. Her physical life has left us, but her spirit will always be with us and remain a part of the lives of those she loved and who loved her.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, at H.D. Oliver, Laskin Road Chapel, 2002 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach.
