Steven Lee Smith, 58, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019. He was a native of Virginia Beach and an avid Redskins fan.
Steven greatly enjoyed listening to music, dancing and singing. He was a horrible Karaoke singer, but loved doing it. Steven was a pipefitter as well as owner and operator of Atlantic Fire Sprinkler.
He enjoyed the Peanuts comic strip, and his favorite characters were Snoopy and Woodstock. He would go out of his way to find cards or trinkets with his favorite characters.
Steven was preceded in death by the love of his life who he met in youth group at church, his wife of 27 years, Lisa Suzanne Smith; and his father Joseph W. Smith Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Meghan Lane (Eric Lock) and Steven “Chad” Smith (Stephanie); mother, Mary Lee Smith; brother, Joseph “Joey” Smith; grandchildren, Steven “Kyler” Lane, Alyssa Broadhurst Smith and Richard Joseph “Joe” Smith; and three cousins, Gary Church, Glenn Church and Chris Davis.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. Funeral services will begin at 5 p.m. with a reception following. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
