Jean F. Siebert, 79, of Sandbridge Beach, passed away Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. She was raised in Quincy, Massachusetts, “a nice place to be from.”
She made her home and built a career in Virginia Beach since 1976. She had a 30-year marriage to the love of her life, Jack W. Siebert. Together, they owned and operated Siebert Realty. She guided her company to be an industry leader in resort vacation property management; embracing technology and providing personalized service with integrity and grace. She was a pioneer for successful working women while raising four children. Grandmother of nine, she was inspired by their beauty and intelligence.
She loved to travel, enjoyed her many friends in the Sandbridge community and knew how to host a party! Jean served on the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation Board of Trustees, Virginia Aquarium Foundation Board of Trustees and TowneBank Virginia Beach Board of Directors.
She is survived by her son, John Keenan (Deb), and sons, Drew and Grant; son, Jim Keenan (Jennifer), and children, Gregory, Sarah and Caroline; daughter, Joanne Young (Jamey), and children, Patrick, Allison and Miodrag; son, Patrick Keenan (Lea), and children, Jacob and Rachel; nephew, Paul Gregoire (Adelia), and children, John, Catherine and Leah; nephew, David Gregoire, and children, Jamie and Christopher; niece, Michele Merrill (David), and children, Blake and Alex; and brother, David Crowley (Peggy), and sons, Bobby and James. Her life was full of family, friends, work, love and joy!
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, April 26, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery.
