Danilo Roque “Danny” Pagtalunan, 67, was surrounded by his family as he passed into the eternal love of God Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018. He was born in Guiguinto Bulacan, Philippines, to the late Manuel and Paulina Pagtalunan.
Danny proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. After his retirement, he worked in information technology for various companies including Canon, Bank of America, and most recently, Sentara Healthcare. Danny enjoyed playing tennis, cooking and gardening. His biggest joy was being “Grandpa Danny” to his grandchildren, Mason and Lulu.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Digna V. Pagtalunan; daughter, Cecil Gandia, and her husband, Mario; son, David Pagtalunan, and his fiancée, Wendelyn; grandchildren, Mason Roque Gandia and Lucia Renee Gandia; sisters, Lily Gonzales and Marietta Camba; along with extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Catholic Church of Saint Mark.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation in Danny’s name to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
