On Wednesday, July 18, 2018, Eddie B. DelaCuadra, 82, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sept. 20, 1935, to Mariano and Josefina DelaCuadra in Narvacan, Philippines. On Oct. 8, 1966, he married the love of his life, Presentacion E. Quines.
He graduated from the University of the East (1955) and became a CPA (1956). He served 23 years as a disbursing clerk in the U.S. Navy and achieved the rank of MCPO after 14 years. After his honorable discharge, he was employed by CDSI as a computer consultant until retiring in 1991.
Eddie was a member of the United Ilocano Association of Tidewater and the Fil-Am Veterans of Hampton Roads.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his eldest daughter, Susan DelaCuadra of Manhattan, New York; daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Hector Cruz of Chesapeake; and his beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Micah and Olivia Cruz.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel.
