Henry Chatman Redman, 82, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at his home.
Born in Washington, D.C., he had retired from the U.S. Navy as a CWO4 anti-submarine warfare specialist with 30 years of service. He was a former elder at Kempsville Presbyterian Church.
Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Merle V. Redman.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Anne L. Redman; two daughters, Cheryl Monaco, and her husband, Joseph, of Virginia Beach, and Dawn Redman Groff of San Diego; son, Mark H. Redman, and his wife, Teri, of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Jacquelyn, James, Matthew, Aaron and Abigail; great-grandson, James; and cousin, Carol Hughes of Stuart, Fla.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Kempsville Presbyterian Church by Pastor Neil Ellison. Interment will be private.
