Douglas S. Taylor, 50, founder of Taylor Progressive Service

Douglas S. Taylor, 50, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at his home. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Paul O. Taylor III, and Sandra N. Taylor.

He graduated from Cox High School and Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s and master’s in engineering. He was also a certified professional engineer.

Doug worked for the federal government for 10 years prior to founding Taylor Progressive Service in 2012. An avid surfer, he loved the ocean, holidays, and traveling to Germany and Austria.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Paul E. Taylor, and his wife, Ronda; nephew, Paul E. Taylor Jr.; aunt, Ethel Davis; and cousins, Troy, Suzanne, Jennifer and Dale Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
