Theresa Lynn Ward, 50, enjoyed photography, gardening and music

Theresa Lynn Ward, 50, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle February 12, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born in New Albany, Ind., to the late Raymond J. and Theresa M. Burres Receveur and served her country honorably in the U.S. Navy.

Theresa enjoyed photography, gardening, quilting, sewing, and listening to music ranging from hard rock in her early years, but more recently, contemporary gospel and country. Her greatest passion and enjoyment in life, however, was her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, James B. Ward Jr.; sons, James Ward III, and Timothy Ward; sisters, Connie Mefford, Sandy Jacobi and Patty Campbell; brothers; David, Joey and Mike Receveur; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at noon Thursday, February 18, at Saint Matthews Catholic Church with burial to follow in Albert G. Horton Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. A wake will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road.
