John Eugene Blaski, 79, retired special agent for U.S. Customs Treasury Department

John Eugene Blaski, 79, of Virginia Beach, passed away on December 3, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 6, 1935 to the late John and Donna Blaski in Warren, PA. John served our country as a member of the US Marine Corps and served during the Korean War and he was a retired Special Agent for the U.S. Customs Treasury Department.

John is survived by his wife, Mary C. Blaski; son, Michael Blaski; daughter, Elizabeth Ruhlman; sisters, Gloria Werner of Montana and Carol Ristau of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jennifer Beck (Dave), Christie Sayyed (Chris), Samantha Ruhlman, Joshua Blaski, John Ruhlman, Hannah Blaski, Joseph Ruhlman, and Michael David Blaski; four great grandchildren; and dear friend, Joseph Ruhlman. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Jeffrey and Christopher.

A memorial mass will be held at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1404 Pacific Ave., Virginia Beach with Fr. Esteban DeLeon officiating.
