Wanda H. Smith, passed away on November 26, 2015, in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Huff.
Wanda was retired and was the head secretary at Cox and Kempsville High Schools. She was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church and was one of the founding members of Jobs Daughters Bethel 62 of Bayside and a Past Grand Guardian of Virginia. She enjoyed nurturing young ladies into the womanhood of independent thinkers and instilled morals and values. She adored family and friends and was always ready to serve a cup of coffee, food and Christian love. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Josephus D. “Joe” Smith of 63 years; her daughter, Lynn Elizabeth Smith; and brother, Charles Huff. Survivors include her son, Josephus D. “Danny” Smith, Jr. and his wife Donna H. Smith of Currituck, NC.
A memorial service will be held at Bayside Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015.
