Wallace McArthur Reid, 73, loved animals, avid Redskins and NASCAR fan

Wallace McArthur Reid, 73, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 40 years, Stella E. Reid; two sons, Keith Laney and Michael Laney; nine brothers and sisters; his beloved Maltese dogs, Ace Bow and Angel. Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Nylia Laney, Lisa Laney, and Kathy Boucher; his grandchildren, Amber DePaolo, Christy Gillen, April Laney, Jody Graham, Jennifer Graham, and Michael Olson; his five great grandchildren; two brothers, Horace and George; two sisters, Margaret and Edith; along with extended family and friends.

Wallace loved animals, including his dogs and a cat he took under his wings. After his wife passed, he continued her hobbies which included raising butterflies and feeding birds and squirrels. He was an avid Redskins and NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed keeping up with current events.

A celebration of his life was held Nov. 23, 2015, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Burial followed in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
