Ronald C. McLaren, bowled a perfect 300 game at age 75

Ronald C. McLaren, of Virginia Beach, beloved servant of God, was embraced into the arms of his Savior on Oct.  22, 2015.

Ron’s parents, Floyd James Mclaren and Lucille Birkinbine, preceded him in his transition from this earth to eternal life.

Ron, a command master chief in the U.S. Navy, proudly served his country for 32 years. Ron loved bowling and at age 75 “finally” rolled a perfect 300 game at JEB Little Creek.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Johnson McLaren “Cindy”; son, Hugh “Butch” McLaren and his wife Lori, of Hanahan, South Carolina; grandsons, Robert and Christopher McLaren; stepdaughter, Sherry Bell and her husband Wayne, of Aynor, South Carolina; sister, Karen Stevens, of Moses Lake, Washington; brothers, Gary McLaren and his wife Gynithe, of Yakima, Washington and James “Jim” McLaren and his wife “Bea”, of Heber Springs, Arkansas; brothers-in-law, Bill Johnson and his wife Gail, of Suffolk and Bart Johnson and his wife Joyce, of Chesapeake; and his lovable furry companion Gracie.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at Fairmount Park United Methodist Church with Pastor Linda Young officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
