Crash in Hampton kills York County man

An 18-year-old York County man died of injuries he suffered following a two-vehicle crash in Hampton Tuesday.

Hampton Police identified the man as Davey Budden Jr.

Police said the crash happened at around 9:20 a.m. near the intersection of Magruder Boulevard and Semple Farm Road.

There, responding officers found 2 four-door sedans that collided in the intersection. The drivers from each of the vehicles were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Budden succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, police said.

The other driver, a 64-year-old man, remains hospitalized.

Police said the crash remains under investigation by the Hampton Police Division’s Accident Reconstruction Team.

The two drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles. No other information was immediately released.
