Two Hampton Roads teens are proposing a law that would make schools “seizure safe.

Sixteen-year-old Jamie Cleave and 12-year-old Brie Gesick both suffer from epilepsy seizures.

They wrote the Jamie and Brie Strong Act for Seizure Safe Schools, which is now proposed on the state level as Senate Bill 420.

The bill would ensure that teachers recognize when a seizure is happenening and know how to respond. It would also enable all school employees to be properly
