NORFOLK — Tidewater Community College is preparing to celebrate the grand opening of the TCC Perry Glass Wheel Arts Center on Sept. 20.
The event will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and will include an open house and reception at the studio, located in the NEON District at 128 West Olney Road — it will feature two exhibits.
On the first floor, guests will find The Revolving TCC Art Faculty Exhibition which spotlights work by Visual Arts Center faculty in a wide variety of media, styles and approaches, officials said in a news release.
The second floor hosts an exhibition by Barbara Kobylinksa: Imaginary Creatures and includes small to large-scale mixed media animal works that incorporate found and recycled objects, officials said.
All works presented at the open house will be for sale and the exhibits are free and open to the public for viewing.
Gallery hours are Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
