VIRGINIA BEACH — Residents are invited to bring their doggie companions to Woofstock in Red Wing Park on May 18 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event is in partnership with the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center and the city’s parks and recreation special events office.

Dogs and their owners are invited for an afternoon of fun with live music, food trucks, “doggie dates”, a photo booth, specialty vendors and more.

There will also be adult beverages available for purchase from Wasserhund Brewing Company to benefit the city’s Parks and Recreation Foundation.

Admission and parking are free.

Food vendors are from Cast Iron Catering, The Chilly Mermaid, Ohana, Joysicles, Road Dogs and Keep it Poppin.

Live music is put on courtesy of Free For All and PowerDaze.

The rain date for the event is May 19.

In addition to the event, the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption center is offering half off dog adoption fees for the entire month of May.
