VIRGINIA BEACH — Keep It Beachy Clean and the city’s waste management division have partnered up to sponsor a beach cleanup the day after “Something in the Water” on Monday.

The event will run from 9 a.m. until noon and participants will meet in the ViBe Park at 18th and Cypress Avenue to pick up supplies.

Participants will work with Keep It Beachy Clean, City of Virginia Beach Waste Management Division, Keep Virginia Beach Beautiful and Virginia Beach Clean Community for a post- SOMETHING IN THE WATER Festival Cleanup in the Vibe Creative District.

If you’re interested in participating you will need to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, organizers said.

Keep It Beachy Clean volunteers have already placed stickers on recycling containers that will be placed throughout the festival footprint encouraging people to recycle and throw away their trash.

Help them pick up trash before the oceans do.

Keep It Beachy Clean asks that participants RSVP at KVBB@vbgov.com.
