VIRGINIA BEACH — Strawberry season is here and local farms are gearing up for another season of strawberry picking.

Find out where the best places are to go pick your own strawberries on the list below.

Brookdale Farm

This farm has two locations, one in Chesapeake on 2133 Mount Pleasant Road and one in Virginia Beach on 2060 Vaughan Road.

Both locations are open for picking but the farm does ask visitors to monitor their Facebook page for any updates due to weather.

Cullipher Farm

Cullipher Farm’s berry patch on 772 Princess Anne Road is currently open for strawberry picking from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at its location on Princess Anne Road.

Their Pungo stand on 1444 Princess Anne Road will be opening in the next few days.

Flanagan Farm

Flanagan Farm on the corner of Princess Anne and North Muddy Creek Roads should be opening up its strawberry fields during the first week of May.

Flip Flop Farmer sits on 3244 New Bridge Road in Pungo — it’s currently open for strawberry picking.

Henley Farms

Henley Farms are open for the strawberry picking season on 3484 Charity Neck Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Vaughan Farms are open for strawberry picking starting at 9 a.m. on 1258 Princess Anne Road.
