VIRGINIA BEACH — With the cold weather slowly fading away, now might be a good time to get in shape and relieve those wintertime blues.

One way to do so is by learning martial arts self-defense — especially if the class is free.

King Tiger Martial Arts in Virginia Beach is offering free martial arts classes to those 17 years and older. The classes have limited space, according to their website, and reservations are required.

Those who are interested may register online or by calling 757-468-8889.

Starting Monday, King Tiger will offer a free adult martial arts class from 8:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. They will also offer an additional free class Wednesday from 8:15 p.m. to 9 p.m.

King Tiger is also offering vouchers for two weeks of free classes, which can be requested online. According to King Tiger’s website, registration for further classes after the two weeks of free classes will be available upon request.

King Tiger is a full service martial arts training center offering traditional and modern martial arts classes for all ages, according to their website. Its owner and headmaster, Master Cielo, has been teaching martial arts and fitness classes since 1993.
