NORFOLK — Slover Library will feature author Robert D. Putnam for the third and final installment of the Catherine Lee Brinkley Memorial Lecture Series: A Librarian’s Legacy.
The event will be on April 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The lecture series was created in honor of Catherine “Kate” Lee Brinkley, a professional librarian at the city’s Kirn Memorial Library.
Brinkley was dedicated to educating the residents of Norfolk through the many services and program of the Norfolk Public Library system, according to a news release from the library.
This new three-part lecture series, in honor of her, was sponsored by Jane Batten to keep the spirit of community discourse about current events alive and to celebrate recently published books of national note.
Putnam’s lecture will be based on his book “Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis,” which is a New York Times bestseller.
Visit Slover Library for their evening reception, lecture, Q&A and book signing in Room 650.
This event is free and open to the public.
