There’s probably nothing better than free wine. What do you think?

VIRGINIA BEACH — This Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., the Virginia Beach Winery will host a free wine tasting at its Newtown Road location.

Those 21 and older are welcome to try an array of the winery’s locally produced spirits.

The winery is a family-run business that grew out of a passion for making wine, according to its website. It opened in 2017 and received Coastal Virginia’s Readers’ Choice 2018 award for Best Local Winery in 2018.

The wine is made small batches. The winery also produces locally made semolina wheat bread, and carries extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar that are both produced in Virginia.

According to the winery’s website, the wine tasting will include some of the winery’s originals like “Pirate Blend,” “Winter Blues,” “Surfside Strawberry,” “Coastal Cherry,” and “Son of a Peach.”

For more information about the wine tasting or the winery, call 757-995-4315 or visit the winery’s website.
