NORFOLK — The MacArthur Center is looking for dogs with style for their first-ever canine red carpet event: Fashion Has Gone to the Dogs — Dog Show.

Your fashion-conscious pooch can participate in three categories: Best Owner/Dog Costume Combination; Best Dog Fashion; and Celebrity Lookalike contest.

It will be on Feb. 10 — 2 p.m.-4 p.m.

The panel of local celebrity judges will award trophies to the grand prize winners in each category.

Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center has partnered with MacArthur Center for this new event to help support Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center, according to a news release from the city.

Participants must register with a minimum donation of $5 or a food donation for the Norfolk Pet Pantry to be collected on site.

The event kicks off National Homeless Animal Awareness Week and comes one day before the start of the prestigious annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Register your pup here.

Dogs must be crowd/people/dog friendly and on leashes at all times, and each participant must sign a waiver.

All participants should enter through the North 1 Entrance near Kay Jewelers into Center Court.

The city has also invited all of the canine alumni of the Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption center to dog-walk the runway as well.
