There’s a call for female artists for this center’s latest exhibit

NORFOLK — In honor of Women’s History Month, d’Art Center will be hosting an exhibition featuring female artists from all over the country.

The exhibition will be titled, “Persistence: A National Exhibition Celebrating Women’s Empowerment.”

The call for submissions is open until Feb. 7 and the exhibit is open to functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art and fine art craft in all mediums.

Women 18 or older from all over the United States are encouraged to apply.

The entry fee for the exhibition is $35 and counts for up to three works.

The opening reception for the exhibition, will be on March 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The d’Art Center is Norfolk’s 30-year-old art center and it includes exhibitions and programming open to the public.

The d’Art Center is located in the NEON district of Norfolk.
