Did you know that in 2018 the Virginia Beach Convention Center hosted 322 events and welcomed more than 600,000 guests in 2018? 

The Convention Center will host a variety of happenings each month this year for residents and visitors alike.

Here’s January’s lineup:

  • Jan. 11 – 13: 2019 Hampton Roads International Car Show – This event is tagged as a “no sales” environment so attendees can look, enjoy and ask questions without any pressure to buy.   • Jan. 18: 2019 CHKD David Wright Vegas Night Gala – New York Mets All-Star third baseman David Wright, a native of Hampton Roads, has supported Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters for more than a decade, and for the past eight years, he has hosted David Wright Vegas Night at the VBCC each January to raise funds for the hospital. The evening includes cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and dessert with a live/silent auction and casino gaming including craps, roulette, blackjack, horse racing, and poker.   • Jan. 18 – 20: 2019 Tidewater RV Show – Now in its 38th year, this show features the very latest in recreational vehicles from the nation’s top manufacturers. In addition to viewing RVs, attendees can meet with more than two dozen vendors, including representatives from campgrounds, resorts and travel destinations, RV tow products and accessories to make life easier on the road.   • Jan 26 – 27: Coastal VA Wine Expo – The 6th Annual Coastal Virginia Wine Fest celebrates good times with Virginia wines.
