VIRGINIA BEACH — Saturday there’ll be a little bit of everything and a little something for everyone at Lynnhaven River Now’s Fall Fest 2018.
The event is in its eighth year and will be at Williams Farm Park, 5269 Learning Circle, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
It’s free and open to the public.
The event, said Terri Gorman, office manager and event coordinator for LRN, is designed to educate, create awareness, and engage the greater Hampton Roads community in exploring the balance between social, economic, and environmental responsibility.
“The Fall Festival is our favorite event of the year and we are thrilled to have our event at Williams Farm Park this year,” Gorman said. “We hope the community will join us for a day filled with fun learning activities focused on how to be good stewards of your waterways.”
More than 70 artisans and vendors will be on-hand with educational exhibits, demonstrations, and children’s activities.
Also featured will be healthy, local, and sustainable products and services, while there’ll be entertainment and education for the entire family.
Attendees can watch and learn about fly casting with Great Outdoors Provision Company.
The Princess Anne YMCA will be leading a group exercise class for all ages beginning at noon, and Linda White will lead a Tai Chi class beginning at 2 p.m.
Wood Carving will be presented by Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum.
Gorman said chairs and blankets are allowed, as is the family dog.
