Man dead following shooting in Norfolk

NORFOLK — Police here are investigating the Tuesday night shooting death of a 58-year-old man.

Authorities said officers were sent to the 1200 block of Dundale Avenue around 7:30 p.m. to investigate a “gunshot disturbance.

There, they found the man outside “suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,” police said in a news release.

He was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. Police have not released his name, pending notification of next of kin.

Further information about the incident was not immediately released.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have information about the shooting to call the Norfolk Crime Line, 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
